부모급여 신청방법On the 23rd, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that about 250,000 people are eligible for parental benefits, but only about 12,000 people applied for parental benefits as of the 18th.
The parental benefit was introduced for the first time this year to compensate for the decrease in family income due to childbirth or childrearing and to lower the burden of childrearing. Parents of children aged 0 to 11 months, including children born from January this year, will receive 700,000 won per month. Parents of 1-year-old children will receive 350,000 won per month starting from January 2022, as those eligible for the infant allowance introduced in 2022 will be converted.
If you are between 0 and 11 months as of January, you can apply even if you were born in 2022. If a child born in September of last year received an infant allowance of 300,000 won for 4 months, he can receive an additional 700,000 won for 8 months from this month. Starting in September of this year when they turn 1 year old, they can receive a parental benefit of 350,000 won, equivalent to a 1-year-old. And in 2024, they will receive an increased parental salary of 500,000 won until August.
If using a daycare center, both 0 and 1 year olds can receive a childcare voucher. For children under the age of 0, the 700,000 won parental benefit is greater than the childcare voucher support amount (514,000 won), so they receive only 186,000 won in cash, the difference. For 1-year-olds, no additional cash is provided because the childcare voucher support amount is greater than the parental salary of KRW 350,000.
The parental benefit is a universal allowance for children aged 0 to 1 years old, and can be received regardless of whether the parent has taken parental leave or not and whether or not the parental leave benefit is received.
Parents’ benefits can be applied for at any community service center nationwide within 60 days, including the date of birth, regardless of address. When submitting the birth certificate, you can submit the first meeting ticket, child allowance, and parental allowance application together. If you apply online, you can apply in bulk by automatically connecting to the ‘One-Stop Happy Childbirth Service’ after submitting the online birth report to the Supreme Court. In addition to this, you can also apply on the welfare portal site ‘Bokyeong-ro’.
