Seoul Land is Korea’s first theme park-type amusement park with a long history and tradition that opened in 1988. Seoul Land has children’s favorite rides and a zoo, and nearby are the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Gwacheon National Science Museum. After enjoying the theme park, we recommend visiting nearby art galleries and science museums👍
I don’t know if it’s just me who finds it strange, but did you know that Seoul Land, despite its name, is located in a different region?! Seoul Land is not actually located in Seoul. Seoul Land is located in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and the closest subway station near Seoul Land is Grand Park Station. I am a person who is curious as to why it is located in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do despite its name. There is a story(?) that it was built as Seoul Land in preparation for the Seoul Olympics, but I am not sure if this story is correct😅
Seoul Land, Lotte World, and Everland are Korea’s representative theme parks. Regardless of location, we recommend Everland and Seoul Land if you plan to visit as a family. If you plan to visit an amusement park with friends or lovers, we recommend Lotte World. Anyway, today I will tell you about a way to go to Seoul Land theme park at a cheaper price.
Seoul Land free pass fee
These days, theme park usage fees are not cheap unless you apply an affiliate discount card. In the past, you could only enter by paying the entrance fee, but now they sell free passes, divided into all-day tickets and night tickets. Let’s first look at Seoul Land’s day ticket (all-day ticket) and night ticket prices.
Park Pass Adults Teens Children
Weekly ticket (1-day ticket) 46,000 won 43,000 won 40,000 won
Night ticket (4 p.m. ~) 39,000 won 36,000 won 33,000 won
If you reserve a park ticket, you can enter and use the amusement facilities. In addition, if you use other programs and facilities such as experience facilities, coin facilities, seasonal facilities, special exhibitions, and performances, you must pay a separate fee. For adults, an all-day ticket costs 46,000 won, and an evening ticket (starting at 4 p.m.) costs 39,000 won. Since the difference in price between an all-day ticket and a night-time ticket is not large, we recommend reserving an all-day ticket and visiting early in the morning. It gets very crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays, so if possible, visit on a weekday morning (Monday-Thursday) to allow more time.
Please note that children under 36 months old can enter for free. However, don’t forget to bring an ID card that can verify your age! Additionally, special rates apply for group visits of 20 or more people, so please contact Seoul Land directly when visiting as a group. However, group visits are expected to be limited due to the coronavirus.
