2. How to pay Hi-Pass unpaid fees
If you leave the unpaid Hi-Pass fee unpaid, an additional toll fee of 10 times will be charged, so we recommend that you pay it as soon as possible.
There are six main ways to pay unpaid Hi-Pass fees.
1) Payment through website
You can access the Hi-Pass website – log in, check the unpaid fee, and pay the unpaid fee.
Please note that payment of unpaid Hi-Pass fees can be made through bank transfer, credit card, or virtual account.
👉You can go directly to the Hi-Pass unpaid fee payment website below.
2) Hue-gate payment
This method, introduced in November 23, allows users to pay unpaid Hi-Pass fees using the multi-purpose unmanned payment terminal ‘Hue-Gate’ located at rest areas.
However, since they are not installed in all rest areas across the country, please check the rest areas below where rest gates are installed before visiting.

3) Convenience store payment
You can pay by visiting a GS convenience store or CU convenience store, asking a staff member to pay the unpaid Hi-Pass fee, and then simply verifying your identity.
4) Self-gas station payment
Payment is not possible at all gas stations, but unpaid Hi-Pass fees can be paid at ex-OIL gas stations operated by Korea Expressway Corporation.
When self-fueling, you can refuel and pay unpaid tolls at the same time in the following order: ‘Start refueling – Check unpaid tolls – Verify identity – Pay’ on the screen of the terminal used for self-fueling.
5) Pay bills
If you pass the toll booth without paying the Hi-Pass toll, a payment notice containing the travel date, unpaid toll, and payment account will be sent a few days later.
You can also pay when it is delivered to your home.
If you have any questions regarding this, you can contact the Korea Expressway Corporation call center (1588-2504).
6) Visit toll booth
If you would like to pay the unpaid fee immediately on the same day, you can visit the Korea Expressway Corporation office on the right side of the toll gate and pay the fee.
Alternatively, please note that you can enter the toll gate cash/card lane and inform the staff of the ‘first departure toll gate’ and then pay the fare.
3. Postpaid Hi-Pass card with no annual fee
When using a prepaid Hi-Pass card, recharging is inconvenient, and Hi-Pass fees often go unpaid.
Therefore, I recommend using ‘Postpaid Hi-Pass’.
