If you need to shut off the city gas valve due to moving or replacing a gas stove, etc., you must contact the city gas company supplying the gas in your area to receive assistance. As of December 2023, there are 34 city gas suppliers nationwide, and each company has a designated supply area, so check the table below and contact the city gas customer center where you live or search the website.

Areas where city gas is not supplied
The national city gas penetration rate is approximately 85%, and the metropolitan area, including Seoul, boasts a penetration rate as high as 98%. However, there are still regions that do not yet provide city gas.
Gangwon-do: Yanggu-gun, Cheorwon-gun, Hwacheon-gun, Taebaek-si, Jeongseon-gun Nam-myeon
Gyeongsang-do: Yeongyang-gun, Ulleung-gun, Cheongsong-gun
Jeolla-do: Jangsu-gun, Shinan-gun, Jindo-gun, Nagan-myeon, Suncheon-si
Incheon: Ongjin-gun
The above areas are not supplied due to regional characteristics or distance supply issues, and areas that are scheduled to be supplied in the future are also included. Currently, it is delivered to each home in LPG gas cylinders, which are liquefied petroleum gas, rather than LNG, which is liquefied natural gas. It is more expensive and inconvenient to use compared to LNG, so I hope that this will be improved quickly.
