It originated from Freudenberger, who used the term ‘burnout’ in his paper ‘Burnout of Staffs’ to describe the helplessness of professionals who counsel drug addicts. Burnout syndrome means everything burns out. ), so it is also called burnout syndrome, combustion syndrome, or exhaustion syndrome!
