Apple Pay
Apple is the undisputed world’s leading company with a market capitalization of over 2,600 trillion. In the past, it was just an IT company with Macintosh, but as the iPhone has become an essential consumer product for modern people, it is raising ridiculous operating profits and sales.
And one of the reasons Apple is loved by many customers is Apple Pay. Apple Pay is a simple payment system using Apple products, and it is a very convenient system that enables payment at various stores without a wallet or card.
However, in Korea, Samsung Pay is almost monopolizing the simple payment market, and Apple Pay has not been introduced for various reasons.
Official launch of Apple Pay in Korea
By the way, on February 8, 2023, Apple and Hyundai Card officially announced the release of Apple Pay in Korea.
It became known to many people that Isseop, a famous IT YouTuber, also received an official email from Apple.
It seems that the release of Apple Pay has now literally changed to a matter of time as Apple delivered the news of the release of Apple Pay through various official media outlets and channels, not just Isseop.

And at the end of March 2023, Apple Pay was released in Korea only for Hyundai Card.
Apple Pay regional setting error
However, since Apple Pay has not been commercialized in Korea, there is an issue where an error occurs when registering Apple Pay Hyundai Card. We will tell you how to solve this.
How to fix region setting error
First, go to iPhone Settings – General – Language and Region.
Then change the region set to Korea to the United States.
If you set the region to a region where Apple Pay was commercialized first, instead of Korea, Apple Pay registration will proceed normally.
How to use Apple Pay
To use Apple Pay, go to a store with an Apple Pay terminal and press the lock button twice in a row to authenticate yourself through biometric authentication.
