오픽 등급표Is everyone having a good weekend?~~haha Have a nice day~ haha
Today I would like to talk about OPIc.
Since we were young, we always wrestled with English and whether we had enemies in our past lives.
Even as an adult, there is no place where you don’t see this guy’s English.
Even TOEIC, TOS, TOEFL, OPIC, etc.,,, why are there so many tests haha?
We see a lot of OPICs or tosses, from employment to job changes and promotions.
OPIc is a representative English conversation ability measurement test and is an official test.
However, you cannot always take the test. Once you take the test, you will have to take it 25 days later.
(No, I said I would pay my own money to watch it ㅡㅡ)
Even the price is 78,100 won, which is a heck of a deal.
For these reasons, when we watch OPIC, we put our souls into it.
Today we are going to find out information about OPIc.
Below is the OPIc grading system (source from official website)
If you look at this table, the other things are written as high, mid, and low.
It appears that advanced does not have high and mid.
In fact, “Advanced high” and “Advanced med” can be said to be higher-level tests called OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview).
Today, we will learn about the OPIc levels that you may be curious about~ (This is my personal opinion)

The levels are structured as above.
They are listed in order of grade as shown below.
Source: Google
1) AL: Advanced Low
In fact, Koreans and native speakers who are really good at English at the highest level in OPIC are distributed here.
If you look at most people who have received AL, their pronunciations are all excellent.
AL is among the best at conversation (top 6%)
2) IH: Intermediate High
In fact, it is also the most common rating around me.
I think it’s because large companies rely on English a lot.
If you look at IH friends around you, you can see that although their pronunciation is not that good, their vocabulary and sentence structure are good enough to converse with foreigners.
IH is also very good at conversation (top 28%)
3) Intermediate MID (1~3)
It occupies the largest distribution in OPIC.
However, as the IM distribution table shows, I think I’ve hardly ever seen IM3.
Around here, it’s usually IM1~IM2 and IH.
IM3 Please leave a comment and I will make it fun for you ~~hoho
IM also doesn’t have any major problems talking to foreigners.
If you work hard, you will rise to a certain level. (Top 75%)
4) Intermediate Low (IL)
If you look at the description, it says you can speak in sentences and with confidence.
IL is characterized by sentences being broken up into words and sentences not being completed well.
(Top 90%)
4) NH (Novice High)
This is the grade we make fun of, the so-called NH (Nonghyup)… haha (sorry, I’m not disparaging)
NH has the characteristic of being unable to speak in sentences and only listing words.
but! Although NH is low, it is a section with ample room to rise and potential. (Top 97%)
5) NL ~ NM (Novice Low~Mid)
Actually, I didn’t see this grade very well. ㅠㅠ
But anyone can speak English well.
Don’t be discouraged, anyone can rise to the top 100% if you realize your potential and study hard.
Today, we learned about OPIC and OPIC ratings~~
Have a nice weekend everyone haha
