쿠팡플레이 드라마‘Taejong Yi Bang-won’ is a traditional historical drama presented by KBS after 5 years, and it sheds new light on the leader Yi Bang-won and his family who led the founding of Joseon. As expected from KBS, the ‘master of historical dramas’, it will depict various aspects of Yi Bang-won, who is not the ruthless politician we know from history, but rather a man with human emotions.
In addition, director Kim Hyung-il, who directed ‘Amazing Legacy’, ‘God of Study’, and ‘The Sons of Sol Pharmacy’, and writer Lee Jung-woo, who directed ‘The Strongest Deliveryman’ and ‘Joseon Gunman’, have joined forces to raise expectations. This is the second time the two have worked together after the special drama ‘Comrade’, which was planned for the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.

Joo Sang-wook as ‘Yi Bang-won’, Kim Young-chul as ‘Lee Seong-gye’, Park Jin-hee as ‘Queen Wongyeong Min’, and Ye Ji-won as ‘Queen Shindeok Kang’.
