용인 가볼만한 곳 Yongin Special City, Tourist DRT ‘Tabayong’ to Start Operation on the 23rd

용인 가볼만한 곳(Jungbu Sisa Shinmun) Yongin Special City announced on the 23rd that the Yongin City tourism demand responsive transit (DRT) ‘Tabayong’ has begun operation.

Tabayong is a means of transportation that connects major tourist attractions in Giheung-gu, such as the Korean Folk Village, Gyeonggi Provincial Museum, Baek Nam-Jun Art Center, and Singal Urban Regeneration Project Site, to transportation hubs such as Giheung Station, Sanggal Station, and Singal Bus Stop.

16 bus stops have been installed to allow convenient access to major tourist attractions and transportation hubs, and users who visit tourist attractions using the Suin Bundang Line or intercity/express buses can tour famous tourist attractions more conveniently.

Anyone can use it, even if it is not for tourism purposes. Users can select the number of passengers and destination on the mobile app at the bus stop they will board, call a DRT vehicle, and pay the fare with a transportation card.

You can download the application by accessing the QR code installed at each bus stop or searching for smartphone applications such as ‘Tabayong’ or ‘Yongin Tourism DRT’ and then installing the app.

There are 3 buses on weekdays and 4 buses on weekends, and the time to call the vehicle is from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM.

Inside the vehicle, a dedicated monitor will be installed to provide information on movement and promotional videos for major nearby tourist attractions.

It will be operated free of charge for a month as a trial operation period, and after that, the same fare as city buses will be applied at 1,450 won for adults. Transportation cards can be used, and transfer discounts are also applied.

A city official said, “The concept of calling a bus may be somewhat unfamiliar, but since this is a system introduced to make it convenient to travel to limited areas, we hope that many people will use it conveniently,” and added, “We will pay close attention to attract citizens’ attention so that Tabayong can be widely known and so that there is no inconvenience in using it.”
