CU’s affordable delivery service is a store-to-store delivery service based on a nationwide logistics network, and has been popular among customers because it can be used for up to 40% cheaper than general delivery services based on the same weight.
In particular, CU operates its affordable delivery service rates as ▲1,800 won for 500g or less ▲2,100 won for over 500g to 1kg ▲2,700 won for over 1kg. It is lowering the burden on consumers by setting the rate for under 1kg, which accounts for an overwhelming 89%, at the lowest in the industry.
In fact, the demand for reasonably priced delivery services has skyrocketed recently due to the activation of second-hand transactions and the increase in online shopping. The proportion of affordable delivery services among the total number of parcels used has increased significantly from 1.8% in 2020, the first year of the service, to 21.3% this year (January to April). In addition, CU’s 2+1 economical delivery promotion, which expanded the concept of +1 gifting to delivery service for the first time in the industry, received an explosive response from customers. CU issues a 1,000 won discount coupon that can be used when sending economical delivery services through the membership app Pocket CU. Anyone who is a CU membership member can use it, and it can be issued once a day during the event period.
If you apply the coupon, you can use the service at a discount of up to 55% compared to the regular price. Small packages weighing 500g or less can be sent for just 800 won.
You can also find a link to this promotion on the brand’s second-hand transaction app ‘Beongae Market’. CU plans to increase accessibility to its services by issuing discount coupons for its affordable delivery service to Naver Student Membership customers and Toss app users this month.
Meanwhile, CU is expanding convenience for delivery users by launching a general delivery reservation service on Kakao Map this month for the first time in the industry. The service is available at 3,200 won for 2 kg or less, 3,800 won for 5 kg or less, and 4,700 won for 20 kg or less, the same as the CU POST convenience store delivery fee, without any additional fees.
Any customer using Kakao Map can use the service, and after selecting a CU store on the map, they can simply authenticate themselves and make a delivery reservation using the ‘delivery reservation’ menu that appears.
