ktx 입석 예매It was first opened in 2004 and is currently operated nationwide with a focus on Seoul. KTX operates at a maximum speed of 305 km/h, quickly connecting major cities in Korea.
Since KTX is so popular, seats are often sold out quickly, but since KTX offers non-reserved and standing tickets, I would like to introduce how to do that in detail today.
■ KTX non-reserved seat reservation method
▲ First of all, KTX non-reserved seats refer to seats that have not been assigned but can be reserved for passengers who arrive first. These seats are operated only on weekdays when there are relatively few passengers, and seated seats consist of seats located between the window and the aisle, and are cheaper than regular rooms.
▲ I checked it myself in the Korail Talk application, and it was confirmed that non-reserved seats are operated only on weekdays.
▲ The picture above is the KTX non-reserved seat fare price confirmed on the Korail Talk application. Since it is 5% cheaper than regular seats, we recommend non-reserved seats for those who want to use KTX at a cheaper price on weekdays.
▲ Also, non-reserved seats can only be purchased at the on-site station window, so if you need to move in a hurry, you should go to the station early and check whether there is a non-reserved seat. The picture above is a KTX non-reserved seat confirmed on the Korail Talk application. Not all KTX have non-reserved seats, so you need to check if there are non-reserved seats in the KTX operating at the desired time.
■ KTX Standing Ticket Reservation Method
▲ The following is a guide on how to book KTX standing seats. Standing seat is a way to use the train while standing without a seat. Tickets can be sold when all seats in the general cabin are sold out. If it says sold out, it means that standing room is also impossible, and standing room reservation is possible when the standing room + seating button is activated as shown in the picture above.
▲ If non-reserved seats receive a 5% discount compared to general seats, standing seats receive a 15% discount compared to regular seats. If you do not travel a relatively long distance, it is judged that you can use KTX at a cheaper price through the standing seat discount.
