They must complete the training course prescribed by the Minister of Health and Welfare at an activity support worker training institution.
What does a disabled activity support worker do? – Work that helps support activities of registered disabled people who are 6 years old or older but under 65 years old and have received an activity support level assessment
– Physical activity support (personal hygiene management, maintaining and improving physical functions, meal assistance, indoor movement assistance, etc.)
– Housework support (cleaning and organizing surroundings, laundry, etc.)
– Social activity support (school and work assistance, accompanying when going out, etc.)

# Disability activity support worker training
1. Training target
18 years old or older, physically and mentally capable of activity assistance without academic background restrictions, and not subject to disqualification reasons. *Disqualification reasons: Mentally ill patients/addicted to psychotropic drugs, etc.
2. Education operation process
-Education hours: Total 40 hours
-Education fee 150,000 won
-Education contents: Understanding social welfare and welfare system for the disabled, understanding disabilities, understanding independent living and human-centered planning, human rights and abuse, role of activity support worker
Professional ethics and self-management, activity support (physical disability, mental disability), activity assistance practice, understanding assistive devices, health and safety management, service provision, records and management, daily and social activity support, communication support
-Education hours: Total 32 hours
-Education fee: 120,000 won
-Target: Similar career paths
-Education contents: Role of activity support worker, professional ethics and self-management, activity support (physical disability, mental disability), activity assistance practice, understanding assistive devices, health and safety management, service provision, records and management, daily and social activity support, communication Support
※Those who have similar qualifications (social worker, nursing assistant, nurse, nursing assistant), those who have participated in government (local government) care projects for more than 360 hours in the past year
